Miranda Lambert definitely has mixed emotions when it comes to the ACM Awards in Las Vegas. But it’s ‘all good!’ She says there is nervousness, intensity, excitement, and love. Speaking of love, before Miranda and Blake Shelton went public as a ‘couple, I happened to see them getting coffee at the MGM Grand casino in the wee early morning, walking hand in hand and I could just tell they were in love!
Lambert tells CMT News that her four ACM nominations are what started the waves of emotions:
“I just get nervous because it’s still just such a big deal to be in there and to know that your peers are still voting for you, it’s very intense and still a huge deal. And it doesn’t get old for me. I’m just so excited to go to the show, and I love that the ACMs are in Vegas. I love the whole atmosphere. And country is like a family out there. It really is.”
Miranda goes on to explain to CMT News why the touching song “Over You,” that she and Blake wrote about his late brother is so special to them both, and why she’d love to see that one win big:
“One of my goals as a songwriter forever was to have a song win song of the year. It’s huge, especially a song like that I wrote with my husband, we’ve written a bunch together, but that’s just one that’s super special.”
