Changing your Facebook status from ‘In a Relationship‘ to ‘Single’ has become a break-up ritual these days. Facebook and Twitter has opened up the ‘post-breakup’ playing field with far more opportunities to see what your ex is doing, or saying about you after you call it quits. Some people find some twisted pleasure in making an ex jealous, and obviously enough enjoy doing so, that a new company is offering a chance to buy a ‘fake internet girlfriend’ to help fan the flames of jealousy!

A new website called Fake Internet Girlfriend claims to let you buy a ‘virtual girlfriend’ who will declare you back ‘in a relationship’, you know, if you want to make your ex jealous.

Once subscribed to their service, your Fake Internet Girlfriend will leave messages on your Facebook site. The service costs $250 a month.

I personally think this is ridiculous, and would never pay for something so stupid. But to each his own I guess. What do you think?
