SEAL Who Shot Bin Laden Speaks Out

Everything that happened during the raid and killing of Osama bin Laden had been kept top-secret for as long as possible.  When Zero Dark Thirty was made, CIA agents and other people started to leak other bits of information.  Well, in a recent interview, the SEAL Team 6 member that actually shot bin Laden has spoken out about what happened the night bin Laden died, and how he is being treated after retirement.  You might be surprised about what he has to say.

According to Yahoo.com, a man who is only being referred to as the shooter” is speaking out about how the government is treating him since his retirement.  There has been stories for years that many people who retire early from any division of the armed forces get treated pretty poorly.  Well, “shooter’s” story just better shows just how poorly he is being treated.  Granted, he was in the Navy for 16 years, one must serve 20 years to receive benefits.

Even though he killed Osama bin Laden, the government isn’t treating him any differently.  He was not given a pension, health care or protection for himself or his family.  He says he feels abandoned.

Now, when it comes to killing bin Laden, he says it’s a night he will never remember.  “In that second, I shot him, two times in the forehead,” he told Esquire. “Bap! Bap! The second time as he’s going down. He crumpled onto the floor in front of his bed. He was dead. I watched him take his last breaths. And I remember as I watched him breathe out the last part of air, I thought: Is this the best thing I’ve ever done, or the worst thing I’ve ever done?
