New Music Spotlight: Sweetwater Rain – “Starshine”

Today’s New Music Spotlight is on the new band, Sweetwater Rain, and their debut single “Starshine”.    The foursome on Curb Records led by singers Danny Rivera and Ruth Collins joined us here in our Ferndale studios a few months back to perform for us.   We don’t know much about this band, other than they sounded good, Ruth is pretty, makes great cookies, and they have a sound that very fresh and very unique.  Their debut single “Starshine” exemplifies that for sure.  Take a listen below, then vote on it in today’s New Music Spotlight poll.

Let me lay you down where we can’t be found.
Somewhere in the dark, out where the wild things are.
In the midnight mist, I will steal your kiss.
If we get that far, out where the wild things are.
It’s gonna be alright. Gonna have a good night. Gotta little starshine.

Even if the sky is fallin’, it only means heaven’s come down.
And when we hear the angels callin’, they’re singin’ bout the love that we’ve found.
It’s gonna be alright. Gonna have a good night. Gotta little starshine.

Let me free your mind, and you just might find,
That way down in your heart, that’s where the wild things are.
It’s gonna be alright. Gonna have a good night. Gotta little starshine.

Even if the sky is fallin’, it only means heaven’s come down.
And when we hear the angels callin’, their singin’ bout the love that we’ve found.
It’s gonna be alright. Gonna have a good night. Gotta little starshine.
