Kelly Clarkson Explains Why “Country Award Shows Are Way More Fun!”

Kelly Clarkson was at last night’s GRAMMY telecast to perform, but she says that, overall, she doesn’t really like to go to award shows featuring lots of big pop stars, even though she’s one herself. Kelly explains why she loves the country award shows, and what she does not like about all-genre’ award shows here…

In this weeks People magazine, the newly engaged Kelly also talked about how she found true love and happiness after she quit dating guys who wear ‘skinny jeans’ and found a man who wears Wranglers! It’s no secret that ‘country folk’ like Clarkson’s fiance’ Brandon Blackstock, who is Reba McEntire‘s step-son, are way friendlier and down to earth!

Kelly Clarkson told ABC News why the big all-genre award shows are ‘painful, not fun at all’…

“No one talks to each other, everyone shuts their doors. Everyone’s too cool for school. Not everyone, but for the most part. It’s just not fun.”

Kelly says she much prefers attending award shows that celebrate country music, like the ACM Awards coming up on April 7th in Las Vegas
