Aaron Lewis Covers Rascal Flatts, Talks Downtown Hoedown And Recording With Miranda Lambert

Aaron Lewis played a show at Sound Board in the Motor City Casino in Detroit. During sound check Grunwald talked to Aaron and asked him about him playing the Downtown Hoedown in 2011.

During that performance, Aaron covered Rascal Flatts’ “What Hurts The Most”.  This is also a song he plays while out on “The Road Tour.” Aaron pointed out that there was a video on YouTube that had over one million views of him singing the song from the Hoedown. Check out the video HERE.

Aaron also is an avid hunter. This year, he said that it was a little frustrating for him on the whitetail deer front for him this year, but at the end of the season, it all worked out for him. Speaking of hunting, one artist that Aaron would love to record with is Miranda Lambert. He says, “I love the new Miranda Lambert record. She’s definitely one of my favorite artists out there that is still incorporating the old school, traditional country into what it is she’s delivering today.”

The 2013 Downtown Hoedown will be back at Comerica Park this summer again. Stay tuned for further details on the lineup and any other information.
