Introducing Charlie Worsham. Charlie was born and raised in the Pine Hills of Mississippi, a couple of hours south of Memphis. He learned to play guitar, piano, banjo, mandolin and even a touch of fiddle at an early age, thanks to the encouragement of his parents who believed in his musical endeavors. Throughout his adolescence, Charlie played at churches, picnics and bars, and made his Grand Ole Opry debut with Mike Snider at the age of twelve. By fourteen, he was getting serious about singing and writing his own songs, and his debut project with Warner Music Nashville certainly showcases Charlie’s exquisite skill as a musician, singer and songwriter.
When you first listen to “Could It Be”, the debut single from Charlie, you ask yourself, “Could it be Vince Gill?”, then Worsham surprises you with his own brand of feel-good country. Charlie Worsham is one artist to watch in 2013 as our genre of music continues to flourish with exciting new artists who keep country music alive and keep pushing it’s boundaries.
