I’m finally back in the Motor City from a week long trip to Memphis and Nashville with enough stories to hold you over for a year! I’ll start with one of the funniest and most interesting experiences from Nashville, Tennessee. It started with an invite to check out Jana Kramer’s new house.
The following day (Sunday 1/20) news broke that Brantley Gilbert proposed to Jana Kramer on his birthday and she said YES! I was very excited for the two lovebirds, so I decided to get them an engagement/housewarming gift before I went to the house on Tuesday. As you know Jana & Brantley are extremely busy and had to reschedule my visit. A few days later both Jana, Brantley & I found out we were all invited to John Rich’s house for a filming of a pilot for his new show, which all took place at John’s house. We then decided to all meet up and ride together to John’s for the party. Again, something came up and we had to cancel our second meeting.
Now the day is Wednesday (1/23) and we’re all hanging out at John Rich’s house, which he calls “Mt.Richmore.” Several artists, friends, and family were there to be a part of the pilot filming which all took place in John’s concert venue/bar in his house. Yes he has all that and more in his home including an elevator and a pool on the roof. Jana Kramer was one of John’s special guest performers for the show and before she left I said, “make sure you let me know before you leave because I have something for y’all.” Again, she left and I was unable to give her and Brantley their gift. I completely understand their busy schedule so I took no offense to it. But I did decide to do something I found hilarious.
I grabbed John and told him the story and asked him if he thought it would be funny to take a picture with the gift together and then tweet it saying, “since you dipped out on Rob Stone three times your gift now belongs to John Rich.” He thought it was hilarious and agreed to it.

Now you’re probably thinking, that’s pretty rude to give a gift you bought for one person to another, and you’re exactly right. I of course still have the comfy fur blanket for Jana & Brantley because it was all in good twitter fun! She better accept it when she comes back to Detroit for the Jammin’ for Joseph show! AND I hope they found it as amusing as John and I did.
