Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum talked with The Dr. Don Show with Rachael and Grunwald about how excited the band was for the release of their new single, “Downtown.” Hillary also shared with us how she is doing with her pregnancy, including cravings for a certain breakfast pastry.
Now that Hillary and husband Chris Tyrell, drummer for the band, are going to be a family, it’s time they travel together. Since the band has been together, Hillary, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood have all traveled on the same bus while the band travels on their own bus. Hillary says that it is time to travel as a family. “We’ll get our own family bus. It’s time. I don’t wanna have the boys do night duty or diaper duty.”
Lady Antebellum’s new single is called “Downtown” and that song was almost recorded by another country superstar. “It was one of those songs that we heard and fell in love with and then found out that someone else had that song on hold. That someone was actually a girl by the name of Miranda Lambert who I consider a good friend.” You can hear “Downtown” on their new album which comes out later this year.
You can see Lady Antebellum perform that song live at the grand re-opening of Freedom Hill on June 13th!
