More People Are ‘Ditching Facebook’

Social networking is like most everything else we do, OK in moderation. But some people become so obsessed with updating status and posting every minute detail in their lives, and start neglecting other things in life that are far more important. Lots of people make ‘new years resolutions, and it looks like ditching Facebook has become a new trend, on par with refusing television.

While the non-users themselves might feel good about signing off of the social networking site, their family and friends are more likely to be annoyed by the inconvenience it poses, hurt at being left behind and irritated by the “holier than thou” and “hipper than thou” signals it sends.

I can understand why some people are signing off for good, and if it became an unhealthy obsession, good for them to realize and stop! I do not judge anyone for the decisions they make that are best for them!

What is your response when you learn someone is leaving Facebook?
