Kristy Lee Cook recently paid a visit to the 99.5 WYCD studios in Detroit to perform some tracks off her forthcoming project on Broken Bow Records.  Kristy, as some of you recall, was a contender on American Idol during the 7th season, and was the seventh place finalist overall.

“Airborne Ranger Infantry” is Kristy’s first single for her new label.  Listen below as she tells how she was inspired to write the song after reading poems written by her father about his experiences in the Army during the Vietnam War.
