New Music Spotlight: Kelly Clarkson & Vince Gill – “Don’t Rush”

Today’s New Music Spotlight shines bright on one of the brightest stars of the last decade.   When most people hear the name Kelly Clarkson, they think first ever American Idol, amazing singer, cute as a button, sang with Reba and Jason Aldean on two monstrous country hits.  What people have had a hard time swallowing is that Kelly’s Texas roots are as country as cornbread.

Kelly’s no stranger to the Nashville scene, after all, her boyfriend is Brandon Blackstock, you know Reba’s son in law?  This website offers many examples of just how legitimately country Kelly actually is.

Today, we present Kelly Clarkson with a song as good as anything Barbara Mandrell might have recorded back in the early eighties, and she’s got Vince Gill backing her up even.  Please give a listen to “Don’t Rush” from Kelly, and tell us what you think in the poll below.
