Trace Adkins has accepted an important new job where he will have the ability to help many people! Don’t worry about his singing career, he will most definitely still be doing that too! When the American Red Cross asked Trace if he would be willing to lend a hand and his name to their annual holiday giving campaign, he was more than happy to accept his new job. If you recall, the Adkins family home was destroyed by a fire, where thank God nobody was hurt. And it was the Red Cross who was among the first on the scene to offer help to his family in their time of need.
The “Honky-Tonk Badonkadonk” singer will serve as spokesperson for the 2012 American Red Cross Holiday Giving Campaign. Trace had this to say about accepting this important position:
“When my home was claimed by fire last year, the Red Cross was among the first on-site, from personal experience, I am supporting the Red Cross and their work to unite families and aid in times of need.”
I applaud artists like Trace Adkins who give back and lend their celebrity for a good cause like this! I always say, “with great blessing, comes great responsibility” and it warms my heart when people like Trace truly ‘walk the walk’ and help when they can!
