Yes I am being more than a little sarcastic when I call it a ‘newsflash’ about the fact that teens can be a bit sneaky! Hello…I was a sneaky teen once myself! And not all teens are, but most do not want their parents to know EVERYTHING they do, and will go to great pains to hide the things they would prefer Mom & Dad not to know they are doing! Also no surprise,  but teens are better than their parents at using the Internet, and are likely to hide some of their online behaviors from them. That comes from a survey funded by the online security software maker McAfee.

Seventy percent of teens “hide their online behavior” from parents and that’s up from 45% in 2010.

My grown daughter just told me about an online ‘chat roulette’ website where kids go online and can see others with computer camera’s and it has all kinds of nasty people, ‘doing pornographic stuff’ on there from all over the world. Not all are nasty, but the majority are.  And she told me that there are LOTS of young kids on there too, and I am sure their parents have no freakin; idea or they would SMASH the computers for sue!
