Miranda Lambert is in the midst of a busy summer tour, and is still fresh from her Number One success with her single “Over You.”
Her newest single, “Fastest Girl in Town,” is hot on the rise on the country singles charts. And now she’s announced via her popular Twitter page that she “might be” about to make a brand-new video.
I might be headed to make a video….:) and I might have a really cool guest star or 2….big day tomorrow!:) stay tuned….😉 — Miranda Lambert (@Miranda_Lambert) June 26, 2012
The “might” is, of course, just a tease–Miranda actually confirmed that a new video is in the works during an interview at Detroit’s Downtown Hoedown last month.
“I have a trainer out with me [on tour],” Miranda said during the Detroit interview, “and I have a video coming up, so I can’t skip.” She didn’t reveal details of the shoot — or even what song the video was for — but it’s a good bet it’s “Fastest Girl In Town,” which, true to its name, is currently one of the fastest-rising singles on country radio.
The Detroit conversation took place inside Miranda’s vintage Airstream trailer, which had been gutted and remodeled by her good friends the Junk Gypsies. Full of eye-catching decorations, it’s “basically just a place to hang,” she says.
The Junk Gypsies, Miranda explains, also designed her tattoo and some of her merchandise. “They’re kindrid spirits.” For the trailer, she says, “We had the design together…I found this old Airstream, and they gutted it and made it into a bar. So when there’s no dressing rooms, we have a permanent hangout.”
