I am a very superstitious person and one thing I have odd thoughts about are weddings! When my wife and I got married in Hawaii, we had a very simple ceremony that didn’t really have too many thrills. OK, Hawaii might already be full of thrills, but I didn’t want to get too crazy, because I didn’t want anything bad to happen. We stayed as far away from the ocean as possible, and we didn’t have too many crazy things happen during the ceremony. One Grand Rapids wedding party thought it would be GREAT to stand on a dock on the lake. BAD IDEA!
The dock near Bay Pointe Inn was the setting, and Eric and Maegan Walber thought it would be a GREAT place to get a picture taken of the entire wedding party. While standing on the dock, some of the people started to notice the dock moving underneath them! Eric knew it was bad news right away, but there wasn’t much they could do about it!
“I saw the thing starting to tilt, and I’m like, ‘Oh, yup, this is going to happen,’” Eric Walber told WOOD-TV, Grand Rapids. “We went right under.”
