The Power Of Simple ‘Thank You’ To Your Spouse

Thinking back 3 years ago to my wedding day….we were so dang happy together! My husband Jeff and I are still very happy, but truth be told, maybe I do not really thank him enough for everything he does for me and our family! Saying “thank you” may be a simple way to boost marital happiness. Seems so easy to do…do you think that you still thank your spouse enough?

New research suggests that this cycle of appreciation may also make for longer-lasting relationships.Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley, found that feeling appreciated by your spouse influences how you act in your relationship, and how much you want to stay in that relationship. Instead of just waiting for the other person to make you feel good, you can jump-start that cycle and take it into your own hands by focusing on what’s good.

Give your spouse some props right here… what are you thankful for today because of your spouse??
