Pinterest is like a DIY magazine, cookbook, music and book recommendation engine, gardening-tip hotline, holiday planning site, and more – all rolled into one. The site’s “Explore” section makes it easy to search for anything your heart desires. Do you need an overnight sunburn remedy, a quick easy holiday breakfast recipes, new home decorating ideas? If you are looking for it, chances are great that someone else has “pinned” it.
And Pinterest is a truly hot property. According to TechCrunch, measuring service Comscore just named it the fastest-growing social media site of the year, as of Q1 2012. According to mashable.com, in March 2012 Pinterest served up 2.3 billion page impressions to over 4 million unique visitors a day. (See more Pinterest statistics here.) And according to Comscore, the site saw more than 4000% growth between May 2011 and May 2012.
It makes sense that with an audience of that size and scope, artists would want to use it to connect and share with their fans. Below are just a few country artists we see “pinning.” If you see more – please share their Pinterest link in a comment below!
