Yesterday afternoon, we told you about a mom in Colorado that thought it would be a good idea to take he young child out of his car seat so she could strap a gas can in it instead.  We thought that was some of the worst parenting that we have ever seen.  We got a TON of calls about the mom and her lack of parenting skills saying that she was truly one of the worst moms ever!  Earlier today, the mother has actually responded to all of the stories in the news about her lack of parenting skills.  She says she is not a bad mom in the slightest and everyone that says she is a bad mom is WRONG!

According to CBS in Denver, the mother is basically blaming the toddler and her teenager that was also in the car for how bad the picture looked.  She says that the toddler unbuckled himself from the car seat and then the teenager ended up buckling the gas can into the seat.

Ramirez said her son in the picture, 2-year-old Christian, unbuckled himself from his car seat and strapped himself into the adult belt. The toddler even demonstrated how he did it for CBS4 news.

I just think it’s crazy that this mother would blame her own kids for something.  I’m not sure that I could even picture how that all went down the way she says it did.

“I’m not a bad mom, I care for my kids deeply. This has all just been blown out of proportion tremendously,” said Ramirez.
