When I first heard about Bocephus and JT possibly recording together I was a bit surprised by the possible collaboration. They seem like total opposites. As I looked a little further it seems that JT, a Tennessee native, does have country roots. Justin recently took his fiancé Jessica Biel, business partner Trace Ayala and mom Lynn to a Rockin’ Randall concert.

Backstage JT apparently bonded with Hank Jr. over discussing Turkey Hunting and a possible collaboration. Bosephus said he and Justin spoke about recording a blues song together sometime. Although country music is my number one, I enjoy almost every genre of music and personally I like to see artists of opposite origins come together to make something new and unique. Hopefully Hank & Justin’s talk was real enough to get them together in the studio.

Here’s what Hank Jr. had to say about Justin: “What a great guy! Justin is a friend of my rebel son Kid Rock,” Hank Jr. says of Timberlake. “He sure is a good country boy. We talked about girls, guitars, turkey hunting, going on cruises and how much we hate them, even though Bobby (Kid Rock) is on one right now and loving it, ugh!”

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see if the JT & Hank Jr. collaboration will happen. In the meantime since Bocephus brought up the K.I.D, here’s a favorite of mine as they have collaborated many times.
