Looking for some cooking tips with a country flair? Look no further than Grammy Award winning Trisha Yearwood‘s brand-new show set to debut on The Food Network this Saturday morning, April 14th.
Trisha’s Southern Kitchen will film in Nashville at her urging, and continue on for six episodes, at least.
“It just made sense to be there. But they know, should we go past the first six (episodes), it just makes sense to be here,” Trisha said in a recent interview with Tulsa World.
For those that think Trisha may not know her way around the kitchen, she has had two #1 New York Times Best Selling cook books, with 2010′s Home Cooking with Trisha Yearwood: Stories and Recipes to Share with Family and Friends and 2008′s Georgia Cooking in an Oklahoma Kitchen: Recipes from My Family to Yours. Even with cooking, family time with husband Garth Brooks, the kids, and the quiet life in Oklahoma, music is not completely out the picture, as she happens to also be “working on a record now.” Her last studio album release in 2007, Heaven, Heartache and the Power of Love in 2007, was followed by a 2008 compilation release of her Love Songs. Trisha has received multiple music awards, including 2 Grammys in 1995 and a 3rd in 1998 for her collaboration with Garth Brooks on “In Another’s Eyes.”
