It was so unplanned, so spur-of-the-moment, the groom didn’t even have a ring ready.

Jake Owen is officially engaged. He proposed to Lacey Buchanan Saturday night while performing at his annual hometown charity concert in Vero Beach, Florida.  He popped the question during the song, “Don’t Think I Can’t Love You.” She said yes.

The proposal was not planned and was spontaneous. So much so that Jake didn’t have a ring, but still got down on one knee. Jake and Lacey met on the set of his video for “Eight Second Ride.” You can also see her in the video for “Barefoot Blue Jean Night.”
