[photogallerylink id=133246 align=left]Dierks Bentley was on Ellen about a month ago, when he surprised a military family in need with a check for $50,000. Yesterday he was back on the show again this time performing a special song from an upcoming tribute album to [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bob Dylan[/lastfm].
Dierks performed his version of Bob Dylan’s ‘Señor (Tales of Yankee Power)’ with progressive bluegrass band the Punch Brothers. The Bob Dylan tribute album, Chimes of Freedom: The Songs of Bob Dylan Honoring 50 Years of Amnesty International, will be a four-CD, 75-song tribute album, was released on January 24th.
The tribute album also features a cover by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sugarland[/lastfm], who put their own spin on Dylan’s ‘Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You.‘ The record release timed perfectly with the 50th anniversary of Amnesty International, the human rights organization that works to free political prisoners all over the world.
Special thanks to Taste of Country for the scoop on this!
