Since [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Vince Gill[/lastfm] broke out in 1984, he’s won GRAMMYs and CMA Awards, but those are nothing compared to the most recent honor that Vince has received! Vince can now fit into any western movie, because he has his own sheriff’s badge!
According to Taste of Country, Sheriff Joe Guy of McMinn County, Tenn. swore in Vince as an honorary narcotics officer! And while it must be a huge honor, I just want to see his shiny new badge!
“Vince’s outstanding character makes him a perfect celebrity candidate for this appointment,” he told Tennessee’s channel 8 Volunteer TV. “His stance on drug abuse and his charity work go hand in hand.” Gill’s swearing in took place recently at a benefit concert for the Chattanooga Children’s Advocacy Center, where he also received a framed oath of office.
