The Judds have just completed a series of concerts throughout the Midwest and the mother-daughter duo is looking forward to some pampering at a luxury spa on their day off. Naomi uses this break as an opportunity to finally have a long-overdue heart-to-heart with Wynonna, summoning the courage to tell her daughter about the abuse she suffered as a child. The shock of her mother’s revelation leaves Wy speechless, but brings mom and daughter closer than they’ve been in years. Wynonna confides to her manager Kerry and her assistant Tami that after learning about Naomi’s troubled childhood, she can better understand why her mom made some of the choices she did. Naomi later receives a manuscript of Ashley’s soon-to-be-published tell-all autobiography and, stunned by its contents, is left to wonder how much a mother can take.
