[photogallerylink id=115801 align=left]Earlier this week we told you about [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kid Rock[/lastfm] donating 100% of his Ryman Auditorium concert proceeds to local Nashville charities, and that is just the tip of Kid’s charitable-giving iceberg! Kid formed his own Kid Rock Foundation to spread goodwill here in the Motor City, and also in the cities he visits while on tour. While he does most of his goodwill ‘behind the scenes, CNN’s Anderson Cooper will soon let the rest of the country know what we already know, Kid Rock does MORE than just “Care”…he ‘walks the walk’ when it comes to helping others!
Be sure to watch the special, featuring Kid Rock and other stars committed to helping others, on Sunday, Dec. 11 on ‘CNN Heroes: An All-Star Tribute,’ hosted by Anderson Cooper. The show will honor individuals who are making extraordinary contributions to help improve the lives of others. Others scheduled to appear include [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Miley Cyrus[/lastfm], will.i.am from the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Black Eyed Peas[/lastfm], ‘Dancing With the Stars’ winner J.R. Martinez, founder of Every Mother Counts, Christy Turlington Burns and NFL Super Bowl champ and MVP quarterback Kurt Warner. The special will air live from the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles on CNN, Dec. 11 at 8:00 PM ET.
Kid Rock is already working on a new album, tentatively titled ‘Chillin’ the Most,’ which will be released in 2012.
