I respect anyone who stands up for what they believe in, despite what others may say or think! Blake Shelton does not care what people think of him and made that VERY clear in a recent interview with CNN. Blake told the reporter, “I will drink until I die” and offers no apology for being who he is, and doing what he wants to do! I completely agree with the line in the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Van Zant[/lastfm] song, “Help Somebody,” which says: “It’s better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you’re not!” And I love Blake for ‘who he is’ too!
Not everybody is secure enough to ‘tell it like it is’ especially people in the public eye, who are scrutinized and judged with every step they make. I have always loved Blake Shelton, and his bride [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Miranda Lambert[/lastfm], because they both could care less what people ‘think of them’ and both make no apologies for things they do, like Blake drinking or Miranda hunting, that land them in the ‘public court of judgement.‘
I personally think that NOBODY in is a position of ‘judgement’ except the Man upstairs. And ‘those who are without sin, should cast the first stone!‘ There are no stones in my hand, that’s for sure!

Speaking of drinking, and funny too…is the video of Blake Shelton’s hit song, “The More I Drink”
I have quoted lines from this song so many times, including the one mentioned here in this post: “It’s better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you’re not”...so here is the video on one of my all-time favorite songs, “Help Somebody” by Van Zant!
