Hank Jr. Fired From Monday Night Football

Hank opening up Monday Night Football

Football fans will no longer hear the words “Are You Ready For Some Football” at the start of ESPN’s Monday Night Football after [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Hank Williams Jr.[/lastfm] made some controversial remarks about President Obama yesterday. You may have heard the Dr. Don Morning Show talking about Hank Jr.’s response (see here), and I would love your opinion. Take my poll and see what is replacing Bocephus!

You know this song, right?  ESPN says you’ll never hear it again on their network.

According to TMZ, Hank went on Fox & Friends yesterday and criticized President Obama and Speaker of the House John Boehner for playing a round of golf together — saying, “That’s like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu.”

Watch Hank’s controversial words here.

In a statement made by ESPN,  they said “We are extremely disappointed with his comments, and as a result we have decided to pull the open from tonight’s telecast.”

This is what Hank’s theme song was replaced with.  The National Anthem.

These figures are a part of American History as much as they are Jewish History. American’s lost countless lives in the war against Hitler. We are a Free Nation with the right to Freedom of Speech. Not to mention, Hank Williams Jr Never stated that President Obama was like Hitler in any way. He only tried to show how outrageous he thought these two playing golf together was. I believe there are more important things going on in this country that could be addressed.
