Just the other day, [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Lauren Alaina[/lastfm] released the track list for her first studio album, Wildflower. And recently, she discussed the track list pretty in-depth, and why she chose to put certain songs on this album, and what they mean to her.
Lauren sat down with AOL’s The Boot, and discussed just why she chose certain songs for Wildflower. The first song on the album is “Georgia Peach,” and is self-explanatory why she chose the song!
“First of all, I am a Georgia peach! When I heard the title of the song, I liked it. After I heard the full song, I fell in love with it. It’s one of my favorites on the album. It is uptempo and a song that everyone can dance to. It’s great because it says there is nothing sweeter than Georgia peaches, and in the bridge it welcomes people in who aren’t from Georgia: ‘It don’t matter where you’re from/ Come on in and have some fun.’ It’s a really cool song that I think people will enjoy.”
The number 5 song off the album is “Like My Mother Does,” and she also discussed just why she chose that song, and why she released it as the single.
“Like My Mother Does” is my first single, and it means a lot to me because my mama puts up with my stuff when nobody else will. My mama can handle me when no one else can and she knows how to make me feel better and lift me up. I’m lucky to have her, and to have a song about her makes me feel happy to be able to do that for her.
