[mp3com-artist]Jason Aldean[/mp3com-artist]’s first real headlining amphitheater tour, “My Kinda Party,” is on fire as he and his band tour the U.S this year. Coming off selling five million albums and several chart toppers, Aldean knew his career was shooting up, but had no idea his tour would be as successful as it is.
[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jason Aldean[/lastfm] used to wear his cowboy boots to school! Jason tells CMT, “Me and my friends were all big country music fans. I remember when school would start back up after summer was over, and everybody’d be singing the songs that were big hits over summer, and we’d all be wearing our cowboy boots to school.” For Aldean, those memories parlay into a lot of his music today. He explains, “My music, it ain’t music that’s gonna change the world or anything. But whenever I hear a song that I go, ‘That makes me think of me being 17 years old again,’ I gotta feel like there’s an audience for that. I make music that, if I was a fan, I’d want to listen to in my truck.” Still, Aldean’s tunes appeal to a broad age range of fans. He says, “I play what I play, and whoever likes it, likes it.”
