[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Gretchen Wilson[/lastfm] called into the studio to chat a little about the story behind two of her hit songs and the show that she is going to be at with Big and Rich at the Silverdome, this Saturday. I don’t know too many concerts that I have been this excited about, but Gretchen has me ‘all jacked up,’ now that I know what we’re in for! A great collaborative concert, an amazing light show, and my favorite part – a bar onstage!
“Work Hard, Play Harder” not just a party song, claims Gretchen, who started from the bottom up, but it’s “about work ethic, about being a strong hard-working American, deserving everything you have, and being able to sit back at the end of the day and say ‘look at what I’ve done, I deserve to be able to go have fun now.'”
Gretchen tells us about her convictions with Grammy nominated “I’d Love To Be Your Last” and the benefits of being your own boss and having your own record label. Speaking of which, we may be seeing more Gretchen lining the store shelves soon! Listen below to find out when she plans on hitting the studio!
