It’s hard to believe that it has been 10 years since the 9/11 terrorist attack on American soil. On 9/11/11, the 10th anniversary, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Alan Jackson[/lastfm] will perform his heartfelt song that touched the hearts of all Americans at a “Concert For Hope” being held at Washington National Cathedral.  President Obama will also be present, and plans to speak at the event, capping a weekend of national observance. Almost everyone can remember, and most will never forget. So,  “Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning)?”

One of my most cherished items of ‘WYCD radio memorabilia’ is a huge wall plaque, honoring Alan Jackson and his Drive CD, which included “Where Were You (When The World Stopped Turning). It is encased in a glass frame and includes a copy of the handwritten lyrics pictured below.
