I have noticed a few times that people, mainly worried parents, share their child’s illness on Facebook. Many times the comments attached to the photos are people complaining that a parent would show the whole world what their child is going through. Well, it seems like that it may just pay off!
Deborah Copaken Kogan knows all too well just how great her Facebook ‘friends’ could be. According to Piper Weiss on Yahoo, Deborah woke up on Mother’s Day to her son Leo being quite sick. He had a fever and a pretty bad rash. Her status read: “Nothing says Happy Mother’s Day quite like a Sunday morning at the pediatrician’s.”
As Leo continued to feel sick, and not getting any better, Deborah actually started to post pictures of her and her son. Instead of seeing comments saying how bad of a mother she was, she had two friends telling her to get to the hospital as soon as possible, because it seemed as if Leo may have Kawasaki disease.
It was a good thing that Deborah decided to act, because that is exactly what Leo has! But this is not the only case of great ‘friends’ on Facebook. Check out what else Piper mentioned about good friends, at Yahoo.com!
