Is Blake Shelton Truly Too Much For Twitter?

[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Blake Shelton[/lastfm] has made a name for himself as one of country music’s hottest performers right now.  He has also made a name for himself as a drunk.  Maybe not in public, but on Twitter!  Almost once a day, Blake takes to Twitter to discuss what drunk stuff he has just done.  Not sure if his record label appreciates it.

Blake has slowly made friends and enemies using his Twitter account.  According to AOL’s The Boot, his Tweets have been all over the charts so much that his record label almost deleted his account from Twitter.

There was a point where Warner was like, ‘We’ve got to get Blake off Twitter, because he can’t say these type of things,'” Blake tells the New York Times.

Blake talks about how he feels that it is OK for everyone to be themselves.  And how he feels that if he teases a group and they don’t fire back by teasing him a little bit, that he feels they failed.

“I hope that people learn from me, it’s OK to be yourself,” Blake declares. “It’s OK to offend somebody, and, as a matter of fact, please be polarizing. If you’re not polarizing, you failed, in my opinion. If you don’t stand for something, how can anyone respect what you do?”
