What a great way to make sure everyone gets the news at once – @LadyAntbellum ([lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Lady Antebellum[/lastfm]) just tweeted that Hillary Scott is engaged to drummer Chris Tyrell.  [photogallerylink id=88206 align=left]They met on tour with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Tim McGraw[/lastfm] early last year. according to the exclusive People story,  true to her southern roots, Hillary got a down-on-one-knee proposal from Chris as the sun set over an East Tennessee lake.

You can bet this could turn into a star-studded wedding, if the couple wants that. Not only is Hillary connected to  music’s royalty by virtue of her membership in one of the hottest acts in the world, but don’t forget her mother, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Linda Davis[/lastfm], had tremendous success with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Reba McEntire[/lastfm] (“Does He Love You?”), as well as  solo hits. Hillary’s dad is Lang Scott, a talented singer in his own right.
