Tracy Morgan gained fame while on Saturday Night Live and for his not so clean stand up comedy. While he is known for being a little “out there” with his comedy, a comment he made at a recent show of his is putting him in hot water!
According to Yahoo, Tracy made some comments that were not worthy of laughing at. There are a lot of comedians that make “jokes” at the expense of the Gay and Lesbian community, and Tracy went to far.
The comments, which I won’t mention in full, were about how Tracy would injure his son if he told him he was gay. And an audience member at the show said that in no way did it seem like Tracy even meant it to be funny.
“none of this rant was a joke. His entire demeanor changed during that portion of the night. He was truly filled with some hate towards us.”
Now, Tracy has made a statement, and has tried to apologize, but I don’t know if it will be enough.
“I want to apologize to my fans and the gay & lesbian community for my choice of words at my recent stand-up act in Nashville,” he said. “I’m not a hateful person and don’t condone any kind of violence against others. While I am an equal opportunity jokester, and my friends know what is in my heart, even in a comedy club this clearly went too far and was not funny in any context.”
