Since [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Brad Paisley[/lastfm] released his duet with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Carrie Underwood[/lastfm], “Remind Me” has become one of the most requested songs on the station. But according to Carrie , the song almost never got recorded. And it was also almost recorded with someone else singing her part.
According to The Boot, Carrie opened up about recording “Remind Me” with Brad and the experience it has been. One of the weirdest things was that Carrie almost didn’t sing at all on the song. It was almost [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm]!
“His son actually had a play date with Sheryl Crow’s son and he asks her — totally puts her on the spot, I’m sure — to sing the female part. I have this work tape demo with Sheryl Crow singing my part. There’s mumbling, a few lines here and there.”
But when working on the song, she said she started to get a little frustrated, but had to remember this was just how Brad was.
“It was the most unorganized thing I had ever been a part of. I had never done anything like that before. It all worked out so perfectly. I was so happy.
She said that Brad is not he most organized person around either.
“Brad is not on time. You tell him something’s going to happen 30 minutes before so he shows up on time. I’ve learned this from co-hosting with him. He’s a great guy, but he’s on ‘Paisley Time.’ And I always say, ‘Waiting on a woman’? Yeah right!'”
