The show goes on, despite the fact that Matthew Stevens, drummer for [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Chuck Wicks[/lastfm] had a minor fall this morning prior to an interview with WDIV Local 4 Detroit. Not only does the show go on but Matthew is rockin’ the drums as this is written – crutches and all!

After assessing and icing the ankle this morning – Matthew, Chuck Wicks, his publicist and WYCD promotions piled into a 2 door sedan and made a rush trip to Henry Ford Hospital.  It was quite a sight with Chuck huddled into the fetal position in the backseat making room for the extended injured leg in the front.

Diagnosis: Ankle Fracture
Treatment: Aircast, Pain meds and crutches – good enough to hobble onto stage to play the show! You know what they say. . . the show must go on!

The Downtown Hoedown is underway and the crowds are pouring in! Getting ready for more great music tonight from Sunny Sweeney, Aaron Lewis, Thompson Square, Jerrod Niemann and Joe Nichols!

Matthew, we are so glad you’re going to make a full recovery. You are quite the trooper. I hope your next visit to Detroit isn’t as ‘memorable’ as this one. Look forard to seeing you again.
