It doesn’t get more powerful or beautiful than in this week’s episode (Episode #6) of “Wednesday’s No Longer Suck” with Jaron and the Long Road to Love, featuring his friend Big Kenny (Big and Rich) in “Beautiful Lies” from Jaron’s  latest album release, Getting Dressed In The Dark, and tells us how the song came about! “I had known of Big Kenny long before his [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Big and Rich[/lastfm] days because Evan (brother) and I have been singing a song he wrote called “Contemplating” for over a decade, but never had the pleasure of meeting him.

About six weeks ago a friend introduced us and it’s hard for me to believe I haven’t known him for years. He’s quickly become a confidant and a mentor to me. We share a passion for music, a love of people and a penchant for good wine.

So Big Kenny and I got to talking and I mentioned that I had an idea for a song called “Beautiful Lies.” Before I could even finish my sentence he grabbed his guitar and began belting out “Lie to me, oh lie to me…” (the chorus you hear).

Not wasting anytime or wanting to stop his flow, I grabbed my guitar and in no time we were midway through the song.

In nearly every songwriting session there is one person who leads and the other person(s) follow and play a more supportive role. Big Kenny was the driver on this one and I love that I have been able to add a piece of his stylings to my performance.
