Bethany Hamilton, the real-life surfer who lost her arm in a shark attack, is a huge fan of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Carrie Underwood[/lastfm]!

Bethany, who appears in the movie Soul Surfer, which is about Hamilton’s story. Bethany’s not exactly a country fan, though, telling CMT, “I’m more of a reggae girl.” Hamilton explains, “But I’m obsessed with Carrie Underwood now. She’s incredible. I’m always listening to her, and to ‘Jesus, Take the Wheel.’” Bethany adds, “Having Carrie play my friend Sarah Hill was such an honor for the both of us. We were both so stoked.” AnnaSophia Robb plays Hamilton in the movie. Robb actually really likes country music, too; she spends time with her friends at the honky-tonk Grizzly Rose in Denver. AnnaSophia reveals, “It’s like a line dancing place. I learned the watermelon crawl and so many more. I don’t know the names, but I know the steps.”
