Now a days, everyone thinks they are a marriage expert. Usually these “experts” know only from their own bad personal experiences. What we all need is a couple that has been married for some time to tell us how it works for them. That is exactly what we get with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Vince Gill[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Amy Grant[/lastfm] in the most recent issue of AARP Magazine!
Many people think with the knowledge of what to do and not to do in a marriage, they can make any marriage work. It is never just that easy. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Vince Gill[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Amy Grant[/lastfm] know this, and that is why AARP: The Magazine spoke with the couple about their journey:
“It was hard,” Gill said on the public speculation following both his and Grant’s divorces. “The kids, the popularity of our lives, a lot of tongues waggin’.” Eleven years later, Gill and Grant find themselves more in love than ever.
It is interesting how things work out sometimes. It’s actually sorta funny both of their thoughts before they got together:
“We were both married, and though we were crazy about each other, we thought, ‘Well that’s not our life.'” “The hard truth was that we never thought for a minute that we would end up together.”
