The ACM Awards are less than a month away, and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Blake Shelton[/lastfm] is excited to host the event.  With that in place, Blake is set to also host another event, just the day before the ACMS.  It is the first-ever NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot-Out!

According to The Boot, Blake is scheduled to host the NRA Country/ACM Celebrity Shoot-Out which is a sporting clay competition for up to 26 teams of celebrities.  We all know Blake is an avid hunter, and this is not the first event that he has hosted for the NRA.  He also hosted an event during the CMA Music Festival to  benefit Middle Tennessee flood relief efforts.

Now, not everyone is a gun fan, but Blake is certain this can be a great way to raise money:

“We get to do something we love to do, with our fans, and help raise awareness for a worthy cause while having a great time,” Blake says.

And the NRA is excited to not only make the connection with Blake, but country music as a whole:

“This natural partnership celebrates shared values: patriotism, freedom, and pride in America. We celebrate these values with concerts and other events that benefit gun safety programs for kids, youth hunting and education programs, efforts to support our armed services, and other worthy causes.”
