Taylor revealed during one of her BMI

acceptance speeches earlier this week, that all the awards were overshadowed by the recent death of close friend, Jeff Lang, who was found dead in his apartment earlier in the week – and she had just attended his funeral. Perez Hilton reports that Swift noted in an acceptance speech, “It’s been a really emotional week for me… He was 21, and I used to play my songs for him first. So I would like to thank Jeff Lang.”
