Jason Aldean And 300 Like The Same Kinda Party!
[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jason Aldean[/lastfm] is back with a new album called, My Kinda Party! This album is one of the best of 2010 and you have to go and pick it up. I had the opportunity to check it out the week leading up to the release and I gotta tell ya, this album is so good! Jason has a wide sound in this album. From rap (yes [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Jason Aldean [/lastfm]raps!), to southern rock, to traditional country and some great love songs!
There are 15 tracks on the new album and from start to finish, you go through a wide range of emotions. Starting it off with Tattoos On This Town, then onto a song co-written by [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Colt Ford[/lastfm], Dirt Road Anthem. This song is awesome and it’s like nothing you’d ever heard before from [lastfm link_type=”similar_artist_radio”]Jason Aldean[/lastfm].I say that because in this song, Jason is rapping! The song is so well written, I mean, the line “Yeah I’m just chillin’ on a dirt road, laid back swerving like George Jones.” That to me is such a vivid description, because I’m a nerd and will remember that [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]George Jones[/lastfm] back in the day got into a little trouble with the drinking and driving. Keep in mind, I’m not advocating what he says, but, it is a well written verse in an awesome song. This song is definitely one of my favorite songs on this album.
Other great songs include a duet with[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm], the original American Idol. [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kelly Clarkson[/lastfm] seems to have an ear for finding songs to do with country stars. After she recorded the hit song” Because Of You” with [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Reba[/lastfm], she is at it again with “Don’t You Wanna Stay.” This song is a song that I think should be the main song on some epic love story movie. This reminds me of when [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Trisha Yearwood[/lastfm] did the song for Con Air, I mean it is that good. “See You When I See You”,”Church Pew Or Bar Stool”, “Country Boy’s World” and “It Ain’t Easy” are all great songs.
I think my two favorite songs are “My Kinda Party” and “Fly Over States”. “My Kinda Party” you can hear on the radio now and when you hear “Fly Over States”, you’ll agree, it is awesome. Talking about the heart of American and how we take for granted what we don’t see in this country. The farmers, the blue-collar workers who make the stuff that makes our lives easier. It makes you appreciate the fact there are people out there busting their butts to keep America rolling that live in the places we never have been to or will never go to, the plains of Oklahoma, the farms of Indiana, etc.
All in all this album is amazing and I give it 4.5 stars and I would recommend this to anyone who wants to put an album in and hit play and not have to worry about skipping to the next track. Keep it country and God Bless America – Jason the 300lb. Cowboy.
