[lastfm]The Band Perry[/lastfm]’s self-titled, debut album hits stores today. It features their latest tune, “If I Die Young,” which is making its way up the country charts. The trio, comprised of siblings Kimberly, Neil and Reid Perry, sure have been making quite a splash this year in country music.
Tonight, look for the group to be featured in the GAC special Introducing: The Band Perry at 9:30 PM, ET. Viewers will get a glimpse of life on the road, in the studio and on the set of their music video as well as a peak at their hometown of Greeneville, Tennessee. Fans will be treated to classic home movies and photographs of the siblings as small children, images that reflect a very happy childhood. Kimberly notes, “Our parents always taught us to be gracious to one another.” She adds, “It’s our desire to be better people and better musicians; when both of those things unite, that’s the next place of arrival.”
[lastfm]The Band Perry[/lastfm] traveled home last weekend to give a free public performance to say “thanks” for the town’s support throughout the years. The trio was humbled and elated by the turn-out – over 5,000 people showed up for the festivities held in historic downtown Greeneville. Next they were honored by the announcement that Greene County had declared the week of October 10 “The Band Perry Week.”
