If Brennan Boesch batting average was a stock, it would be plummeting! Since the All-Star break, Brennan’s knack for doubles and home run’s has been snake bit. Some people are comparing his early success to that of Chris Shelton, a former Tiger that led the league in home runs a few seasons ago, then went colder than a well-digger’s behind! Have we seen “the best of Boesch?” I don’t think so. His dismal start to the second half of the season may dictate batting elsewhere in the order? It may relieve the pressure. Jim Leyland can’t afford to keep rolling him out there with bases loaded with no results. Actually, that’s the best opportunity for a hitter, because with bases loaded, the hitter actually has an advantage over the pitcher…he has to throw strikes! Before we stick a fork in Brennan, let’s let Leyland shuffle the order and get Boesch back on a roll!
Is Brennan Boesch still your Tiger?
