[lastfm]Faith Hill[/lastfm] is back as the voice of NBC’s Sunday Night Football, performing the opening theme song, “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night,” for the fourth year in a row.
According to the Los Angeles Times, a bunch of today’s biggest football stars joined Faith for the filming of the Sunday Night Football TV opening at a Hollywood studio. The piece reportedly shows Brian Urlacher pinballing his way through the columns at Soldier Field (and cracking one with a mighty collision), Philadelphia’s DeSean Jackson running to the top of the famed “Rocky” steps, Minnesota’s Adrian Peterson sprinting past ice fishermen on a frozen lake and Indianapolis Colts’ Dwight Freeney swim-moving his way through a cornfield. Some of the other players making appearance are Peyton Manning and his brother Eli Manning, Tony Romo, Drew Brees, Larry Fitzgerald, Hines Ward and Ray Lewis. Look for the debut of the opening for “Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” when the new season kicks off on Sunday, September 12 with the Washington Redskins hosting the Dallas Cowboys.
