Nicollette Sheridan is suing her former Desperate Housewives boss for $20 million.
The actress claims that show creator Marc Cherry struck her across the head and face on the set, and after she complained he fired her. In the suit, Sheridan alleges that thanks to Cherry, the Housewives set was a hostile work environment. She said that during season five, after she questioned something in the script, Cherry, “took her aside and forcefully hit her with his hand across her face and head.” He later went to her trailer to “beg forgiveness.” She says she reported the violence to ABC but they failed to take action. Later, co-star Teri Hatcher complained about Cherry and he reportedly said, “I hope Teri Hatcher gets hit by a car and dies.” Nicollette is suing for assault and battery, gender violence and wrongful termination.
